Ido - Gundam
The Lux Ultima's 4th catapult
Ido is a kid from one of the cadet branches of one of the Seven Stars of Gjallarhorn, serving as a direct subordinate to Rustal Elion, and a comrade in arms to the Julieta.
Due to his influential status and skills, he was made ship captain at a rather young age, and it was also around the time he decided to secretly undergo the surgery to get implanted with the Alaja Vijnana system.
During McGillis's revolt, he was stationed near the Shaols Debris Zone to bring back order in the area. It was during this deployment that, while patrolling in his trusted Reginlaze, found many relics from the Calamity War, most important of which was a form of autonomous learning algorithm (Essentialy the base code for an AI, but not yet fully developed), which he called Minerva and secretly integrated in his Reginlaze.
His life was rather still after that, until one day the eggheads decrypted the data from thr other Calamity War wrecks he found in the Debris Zone, revealing they contained information for FTL technology, alongside a rough galactic map.
Since Ido was one of the best they had, they sent him.
They trusted him enough to send him to the unknown.
It was an honor for him, to be chosen by his trusted commanders with such a mission.
And it was also the chance for him to get away from politics. He never liked the schemes and dances of the government body. He was a soldier, not a politician.
He scowered the galaxy far and wide, in search of other people and new resources. By chance, he stumbled upon a star system similar to the Solar System. He approached a space station, and found out it was actually an enormous school, the Asticassia School of Technology. He enrolled (taking advantage of Gjallarhorn's funds orivuded to him) to see what other technologies this system had to offer, and maybe make some connections.
To put it shortly, he was lucky. He managed to socialise with two girls. Miorine Rembrant and Suletta Mercury. Cute couple. Miorine was a really good business partner, ensuring him with resources and spare parts for his Mobile Suits, and he basically worked as a mercenary for her from time to time while he was in the system. He also took the chance to upgrade a bit his Reginlaze, which now took on the name of Reginlaze Maelstrom, thanks to the Gund technology that allowed it to use a large number og Gund-Bits (All thanks to the extra processing of Minerva that alleviated greatly the load, both of the Gund technology and the AV system).
During his various expeditions, he upgraded his now old Reginlaze so much it now resembled and performed more like a Gundam rather than a typical Grunt MS, from where it then derived the new designation of Gundam Maelstrom.
In one of his travels, he found a wreck in space after a battle in what he designated the UC-U sector (Basically the part where Unicorn takes place which is different from other parts of the UC timeline).
It was a great opportunity to take in the wrecks and scavenge them for components. Unfortunately, one still had an alive pilot. The MS' computer identified him as Koji Najimi. An annoying kid, he barely looked fresh out of boot camp. Regardless, he looked promising as a pilot.
Following the First ExtraStellar Expedition, Ido started getting the idea of upgrading the AV system into his machine, and tried to get it as close as possible to one of the ASWs, and was granted access to the ASW-G-01 and the ASW-G-66, with Ido managing to create a base for a new Gundam frame, but modified to suit his needs as an exploration unit, stuffing it up with an enormous amount of different technologies.
This new machine became much larger than a normal Gundam, becoming more of a mobile armor than an MS, and took the name and designation of ASW-G-73 Hutriel Gundam.
